To reach campus from the city center, you will need a transit ticket good for transit zones M through 2. We suggest the day ticket, zones M-2 for those staying for just a couple days, especially those arriving by train.

To reach the campus from the Munich international airport, you should take the S8 train to Ismaning, then transfer to bus line 230 (direction Garching Forschungszentrum, NOT towards Haar). For this, you will need a ticket good for transit zones 2-5. If you will also visit the city center or attend the conference dinner, you will need transit zones M-5. 

Transit tickets can be purchased when boarding busses at the front, or at automated machines at any UBahn or SBahn station, as well as from MVV/MVG customer service desks.
